Activities to do and places to see in Tenerife

Teide National Park

With an elevation of 3.718 m above sea level, Teide is considered the highest mountain peak in Spain. You can get there in many ways and you don’t even have to climb to the top of it to enjoy such wonderful views!

You can get there via Cable Car or also hiking, but you can only get to the Teide Astronomical Observatory (2.390 m.) without permission, due to the Natural Park protections. However, if you’re an adventurous one you can always ask for the permit and wish to be luckily accepted. Another option is accessing there anytime after before 9:00 am or after 17:00 pm.

Puerto de la Cruz Carnival  

One of the most well-known international carnivals around the world and it’s for free! If you’re available in-between the 18th of February and the 10th of March just book your flights right now. Also, don’t forget to book your transportation from the airport to your Hotel since these days are going to be really busy in Tenerife. You can choose wherever you prefer to be picked up: from the South Airport or the North Airport. For sure you’re not going to regret it!

Siam Park

Cueva del Viento 

Don’t you feel like hiking to Teide but you want to explore Tenerife’s nature still? You can always go caving to these caves located in Pico Viejo (another inactive volcano in the island, whose eruption was the creator of these caves. However, you can only access there if you book a tourist guide, but believe us: It’s really worth it! Also, it’s one of the best ways to get an idea of the natural attractions this island offers.

Loro Parque 

If you’re looking for a more exotic experience and you’re longing to a wide variety of animals, then Loro Parque is the place you need to visit. It was initially focused on a parrots Zoo but now you can even see from seeing lions or whales until lions as well as different flowers or trees. Also, if you’re already planning to visit Siam Park you can book both tickets together so you make the most of your experience.

One of the most traditional activities that now has become such a landmark of this island is its town food markets.
